Tori Prophet

Tori’s own journey through motherhood is her inspiration to bring hope and encouragement into other’s lives. Her experiences with step-parenting, birth trauma, adoption, and homeschooling give her a unique perspective that has created in her a deep desire to support women and families through their pain and transitions. Tori has specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well as Perinatal Loss & Grief and she understands just how overwhelming and lonely parenting can be.

In working with couples, Tori enjoys creating a space where each person can feel heard, examine their expectations, and create fulfilling solutions. She has seen the power of couples who can accept each other’s differences while lovingly holding each other accountable for change. Tori is a certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator and is registered as a provider for Twogether in Texas for engaged couples seeking premarital counseling.

Tori received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston Clear Lake and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has experience working with the abuse, neglect, and trauma of people from all walks of life and a wide variety of family situations, cultures, and backgrounds. Because of this, Tori is particularly sensitive to the impact of social and cultural narratives upon individuals’ thoughts and beliefs and she is dedicated to providing affirming and inclusive mental health care to all who seek her help.
