A Message From Our Founder

From the Director:

I am writing to you today to let you know about changes regarding my private practice as a counselor and psychotherapist in Houston. After 19 years in practice, I will be relocating to Tucson, Arizona in January of 2019, and therefore will not be personally seeing clients in Houston after that time. Family and health concerns have prompted me to make this move, and although it is bittersweet, I am convinced that it is the best thing for myself and my family.

The counseling center that I started in 2014, The Center for Postpartum Family Health (CPFH), will continue operations in Houston as normal. It has been my greatest professional joy to create this resource for the mothers and families of Texas, and am so happy to see it thriving and growing with a tremendous team of mental health professionals. I will remain as the owner and Executive Director of CPFH and will have two associate directors handling the day-to-day management of the practice, Kim Jones and Lorissa Eichenberger. To see the full list of clinicians along with their photos and bios go to the staff section of our website, www.cpfh.org.

I love this work and consider it a great honor and privilege to have been in practice in Houston. Please keep in touch and know that CPFH will continue to serve the needs of new mothers and their families, hopefully for years to come. I am grateful to each of you for all the support and encouragement to make this dream come true.

Happy New Year!

Sherry Duson, M.A. LPC-S, LMFT-S
