Moni Tang
Moni received her master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, Oregon. She is recognized by Postpartum Support International as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) with advanced training and experience working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). She offers a solution-focused and strength-based approach to counseling, as well as use of cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy tools.
Moni knows that the transition into parenthood can present moms and families with both excitement and various challenges. Postpartum mood and anxiety disorders impact the mother’s self-identity, self-esteem, relationship quality, and dynamics with their family and friends. Moni uses a collaborative therapeutic approach to help new moms and families find practical solutions, modify thoughts and perspectives, and discover inner strength and resilience. Moni believes that every transition in life presents us an opportunity to learn and grow. She is committed to guiding new parents tap into your inner wisdom, heal and grow from your stories, and open doors to healing and happiness in parenthood.
Moni is a certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator, and is available for pre-marital counseling and relationship enrichment. Additionally, she has extensive training and experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, and she is passionate in working with first- and second-generation immigrants, foreign students and employees, intercultural/interracial couples, and multicultural families. She is able to conduct therapy in English and Mandarin Chinese.
